Safety and privacy
Meet people safely
Safety was not bolted on later; it is part of the product. Here is what we do and what you can do.
The age rule
Ages 16 and over
You declare your age when you sign up. We never store your birth date or gender. Your interests, what you are looking for, when you are available and your university stay on your phone. All we keep is your age group (16-17 or 18+) and what you share.
Accounts aged 16-17
| Can | Cannot |
|---|---|
| Use a private account | Create public events |
| Create friends-only events | Create groups |
| Join open groups and request approval groups | Receive a message from an adult without accepting a request |
Message requests
You choose who you chat with
An adult cannot message a 16-17 account directly: they send a message request first, and the chat starts only if the teen accepts. You can decline anyone or block them.
Someone wants to message you.
Reporting and blocking
If something feels off, act right away
Report
You can report events, groups and people. Reports reach the moderators.
Block
A person you block cannot see or message you, and you do not see them.
Hide
Hide content you do not want to see from your own feed.
Moderation
People and rules
Moderators review reports. When three different people report the same item, it is hidden automatically until it has been reviewed. Moderators can remove content or suspend an account, and every action is logged.
